Why I Started This Blog

I started this blog for my children

Our story is written as a Federal Law Suit, and an Article 78 (which is legaleze for when you sue a Judge) below on the right hand side.. and well as numerous Motions & Petitions.

Use the magnifying symbol to enlarge the documents for easier reading.

Don't shoot the messenger.. but guess what..

Many court rooms are corupted by some not so honest judges!

Innocent or not..

In the blink of an eye.. you can lose your kids, your life savings, your inheritance, your house and or your mind!

That's why I've continued to post to this blog because...

So many children are being destroyed by our wonderful system..

They've forced me to become a Child/Family and Civil Rights advocate/activist.

I should thank them for the education I got out of this!

Don't miss the videos at the bottom of the page.. of Senator Sampson holding hearings on corruption within the N.Y. Court System!

Parents Took Discipline to the Extreme

Robert Hohn and Shannon Watterson allegedly redesigned their 12-year-old son’s room for one deeply disturbing purpose.

My two cents:
Trauma Bonds

The story above is a perfect example of traumatic bonding. The worse one is treated in childhood, the more they become bonded with their abuser (even if the bond is formed in hate-or unconditional love/fear from the child's point of view) and the kicker is; once a child is traumatized, they become ‘energetically’ bonded to future relationships, friendships and work-places, with people who have the exact same abusive energy as their original abusers!

In this case it’s clear to the child that he’s being treated badly, however, the problem with Trauma Bonds is that those who were raised with functioning Malignant Narcissists or highly functioning pathological Psychopaths, the abusive bond formed is unclear to the child, including once that child is grown!

What happens then is that the young adult, or full adult will one day recognize that they have a history of bad relationships behind them, one more painful than the next! And one day.. after repeated contact with highly functioning Malignant Narcissists and or highly functioning pathological psychopaths one will have reached the point of suicide, and if they hold on… one more minute that’s when it’ll happen! They will break down the maladaptive, dysfunctional Ego (Inner protector) which was put firmly in place to survive an abusive childhood and surrender!

Upon surrender, the ready to end it all adult will look within! Once they have broken down their protective Ego’s they will be forced to see that they’ve lived a very uncomfortable, painfully comfortable life of repeated abusive relationships! Then and only then, will the adult be open to the fact that they’ve been caught up in some kind of sick abusive cycle their entire lives! The stories will all have been different enough to make the connection hard, but the feelings that each story produced will be the exact same!

This type of maladaptive, unsuitable or counterproductive behavior looks to outsiders like, one is ‘Short Circuiting’, because it is behavior that is inappropriate to a given situation. So, one caught in Traumatic Bonding, may have had one or two people in their past that recognized their dysfunctional self-sabotaging ways and brought it to their attention, but the firmly in place inner protective Ego, will not allow the person to see or accept that they’ve played a role in their own life of abuse! Usually one will be in such a deep denial that they can-not see reality as it is.

Here this innocent child, has been locked in a room, with only a lamp, not even a lamp shade, no bed, no other furniture, nothing to keep warm, little to no food.. no outside contact with friends or anyone that could help him- he finally breaks free, and runs nearly a mile to an old schoolmates home.. and when his friends mother answers the door to find him freezing without shoes or a jacket in December. The boy still refuses to tell the truth, in an effort to protect his abusive parents!
This type of protective behavior is what Mental Health Professionals call personality disorders!

Patrick Carnes wrote a book on this type of self-sabotaging behavior and called it, “The Betrayal Bond; Breaking Free of Exploitive Relationships.” In which, he concludes that "Loyalty to that which does not work, or worse, to a person who is toxic, exploitive, or destructive to you, is a form of insanity."

Some of the signs are "misplaced loyalty, inability to detach, and self-destructive denial." Then, the punch line, “You will never mend the wound without dealing with the betrayal bond." Time won't heal it, compulsive or addictive behaviors won't numb it away, therapy won't cure it, spirituality won't work...none of it will help unless you confront the trauma bond itself. ~ Adapted from the book, “The Betrayal Bond; Breaking Free of Exploitive Relationships.”

There are many others (myself included) who have been on the edge, and have broken down to the point of ending it all..  and have miraculously come back from the edge.. willing to look within, and finally accept & heal their Trauma Bonds!

It’s nothing to be ashamed of, it happens to innocent children who grow into innocent adults every day! If you feel that you may be Traumatically Bonded to people who hurt you..

TeenScreen Hammered Out of Existence

KWQC News 6 (Davenport, Iowa)
National Suicide Screening Program Ending In Camanche

By Mark Stevens
Nov 29, 2012

A suicide screening program just getting started at Camanche Middle School will shut down in two weeks.
The program is run out of Columbia University in New York.

Just this week, it called Teen Screen affiliates across the country to let them know the private donation that’s funded this program is ending.
TeenScreen will shut down on December 14.

Leaving five school districts in Clinton County looking for a new option.

“It’s essential for us to be involved in our entire community to be providing these services to our middle school students, it’s a way to show the community we are addressing the issue of suicide,” says Camanche Middle School Principal Justin Shaffer.
He says Teen Screen is well received in his school. 95 parents signed their seventh and eighth graders up to be screened earlier this month. Shaffer says that number shows Camanche is serious about this sensitive issue.

“There have been a large number of Camanche individuals whether they’ve been adults or kids that have chosen to commit suicide and we want to intervene as soon as possible,” says Shaffer.
About half the students will get through the Teen Screen program before it shuts down. The rest will have to wait until a new option can be found. Camanche schools At-Risk Coordinator Josh Davis says it’s too important a test to let go, “your son or daughter gets tested for hearing or vision, but the mental side doesn’t always get to the whole populations.”

“All of us partners that have been offering this throughout the United States can longer implement the program,” says Teen Screen coordinator Jocelyn Meyer.

Thanks to all those who helped hammer TeenScreen out of existence.
Obviously, the school principal, Justin Shaffer, in the below story didn’t get the memo on the unscientific and dangerous nature of mental health screening of children.

For you veterans who led the vigorous national pushback, perhaps you’d like to get in one last lick on TeenScreen.  For you newcomers that never had the opportunity, this is a chance to take your very first swing.
You can write to the school superintendent, Mr. Thomas Parker here: thomas.parker@camanche.k12.ia.us

Just impart your knowledge - politely!  "Mental health screening" (TeenScreen or not) is a complete scam.   It lands kids in front of a psychiatrist with a prescription pad.

Mystery Shrouds Suspensions at Staten Island High School

UPDATE: November 20th 2012
Mystery Shrouds Suspensions at Staten Island High School
By Stephen Hart
STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. -- When the Tottenville High School football team plays defending champion Lincoln in their PSAL semifinal playoff game on Saturday, it will be without four football players suspended from play for the rest of the season due to what both the school's principal and the head coach labeled "a violation of team rules."

The suspensions come in the wake of the suicide of a sophomore at the Huguenot school.

Speculation raged on social media and among Felicia Garcia's friends that her very public suicide was tied to teasing she endured following an alleged sexual encounter she had with some members of the football team. That teasing was pinned on two students not on the football team, both of whom were later removed from Tottenville, according to sources.

When asked if the suspension of the four players was in any way related to the situation regarding Miss Garcia, 15, Principal John Tuminaro said, "I'm not making that connection. People can make their own connection." Tuminaro told the Daily News, "There may have been some connection. But to put this at the door of particular players would be incorrect."

Tuminaro stressed that "there are no criminal charges" pending against the four players.

"Coach [Jim Munson] and I met with the parents of the students not playing, and this is what we decided we needed to do. I wish I can share more," Tuminaro said.

Neither Munson nor Tuminaro would reveal the identity of the players involved.

Conspicuous by their absence during the Pirates' first two playoff wins were the team's top two offensive players, Augustus Edwards and Malique Belfort.

"I told these guys I wouldn't give their names out. It's just that these other two guys are in a bad spot" because of their high-profile status on the team, Munson said.

Belfort, reached via his Facebook page, declined comment; Edwards could not be reached.

"They will not be playing for the rest of the year," confirmed Tuminaro of the four players, whom Munson labeled "inactive."

The principal emphasized the action was taken, in part, to alleviate pressure on the remaining members of the football team.

"Our school community suffered a real tragedy on so many fronts," Tuminaro said. "If certain people made mistakes along the way, it will be dealt with. I just felt upset because the Tottenville football program has taken so much criticism.

"We just thought it was the thing to do, with what we know."

Tottenville's first playoff win -- a 28-0 victory over Island rival New Dorp -- was its first since a 16-8 win over Port Richmond on Oct. 19.

Four days after that victory, Miss Garcia ended her life by jumping in front of a train at the Staten Island Railway's Huguenot station in full view of schoolmates. A day after the 15-year-old's death, word spread throughout the school and on social media that Miss Garcia may have been the victim of bullying or taunting after she was said to have had an encounter with members of the football team at a postgame party following the win over Port Richmond.

The claims led the NYPD to investigate the situation.

"And it is still an open investigation," Tuminaro said. "They are still looking into several factors.

There's a lot to the story that people don't know about that I can't comment on."

Two law enforcement sources said there had not been any developments in the case. One said no videos or pictures had turned up in subpoenas of cell phones and other devices so far, and that it was unlikely charges would stem from any of the actions of students or football players.

Just before her death, Miss Garcia was in peer mediation at school with counselors for much of the day, her friends had said. The mediation stemmed from Miss Garcia's interactions with two students, who were not football players, but had teased or said mean things to her about her encounter with the players, the source said. One of them had been a close friend of Miss Garcia's.

Those two students have been removed from the school, the source said.

The city Department of Education refused to comment on any expulsions or football suspensions that resulted from the incident.

"We cannot comment because this remains an active investigation. We cannot compromise the investigation," Department of Education spokeswoman Margie Feinberg said.

When word surfaced of the alleged postgame incident following the win over Port Richmond, it led many to denounce the Tottenville football team through social media outlets. As a home game with Curtis drew near, both Tottenville and Curtis decided to move the contest from the original Oct. 26 date to Oct. 28; then the game was shifted not only to Oct. 29 but to Curtis' St. George field, where it was to have been played without fans in attendance.

Munson acknowledged at the time that "there were safety concerns for our young men. Our principal thought it would be better to play Monday at Curtis with no spectators. There has been a lot of anger directed toward the team."

But with Hurricane Sandy forecast to hit the area that same day, Tottenville took the unique step two days before the makeup date of canceling the contest and accepting a forfeit loss, giving the Pirates their first blemish on the year.

While Tottenville High School was "hectic" in the words of Tuminaro, dealing with its role as a shelter for storm victims, a decision was made at some point during that span regarding the four players.

Kablam!!! Teen-Screen Dead! Kapow!!!

Today I recieved an email from records@psychsearch.net.

Because I feel it's important to share the information they provided me...
Here goes..

TeenScreen is dead, according to their website TeenScreen.org.

Their announcement: "We are sorry to inform you that the TeenScreen National Center will be winding down its program at the end of this year. Accordingly, we will no longer train or register new programs. We will provide updates on the TeenScreen website for a limited time with respect to any other screening programs of which we become aware.”

TeenScreen was a huge program for psychiatrists. This was their massive plan intended to infiltrate every school and mentally screen every kid in the United States. It was THE program the psychs were counting on to get their hands on every child in America - so that the next generation would all become their victims.

And now - it is dead.

We dealt TeenScreen various fatal death blows from which it never recovered and that ultimately led to its demise. We won the internet fight. On Googlewe never relinquished the top 2 or 3 spot when searching for TeenScreen. We defeated TeenScreen on YouTubeby never giving up the #1 spot when searching for TeenScreen. We worked with the press across the country and had a massive number of stories published. We informed schools who booted it out. This all spawned coast to coast demonstrations.

Thanks goes to the legal team at the Rutherford Institute, writer Evelyn Pringle, the Eagle Forum and all those groups from many walks of life, nationwide, who fought this.
Protest, Washington, DC - July 1, 2006
TeenScreen was a very controversial national so-called "diagnostic psychiatric service", aka suicide survey; done on children who were then referred to psychiatric treatment. The evidence suggests that the objective of the psychiatrists who designed TeenScreen was to place children so selected on psychotropic drugs.

TeenScreen was originally investigated and exposed by PsychSearch.net when there was ZERO negative information on the net. We were informed about TeenScreen by Sylvia DeWall, a Clearwater event promoter who was alarmed after seeing a TV news report, where the Florida Mental Health Institute was attempting to implement TeenScreen in Pinellas County schools. DeWall’s alarm was justified.

TeenScreen’s pharma connected Director Laurie Flynn had her sights set on Pinellas’ kids. This was revealed in one of Flynn’s emails to a Florida official, which PsychSearch.net obtained in a public records request: “I’m looking for a horse to ride here!” and “I need to get some kids screened”. PsychSearch.net investigated and the resulting expose’ led to a firestorm of emails to Pinellas County school district officials from concerned citizens protesting TeenScreen. This resulted in Tampa Tribune and St. Petersburg Times stories and the Pinellas County school board booting TeenScreen out.
The controversy was then off to the races as it exploded on the World Wide Web and spread across the country spawning media across the country as school after school rejected TeenScreen. We lost track of how many reporters we provided documentation and quotes to.

Recently we have been tracking the departures of TeenScreen’s directors Laurie Flynn and Leslie McGuire. One source close to the scene said that Flynn and McGuire left with disagreements over policy issues. The source said that psychiatrist Mark Olfson was the “interim director” who we discovered only showed up once a week on Wednesdays for one hour!

What has been happening at TeenScreen has been hush-hush. Even one of TeenScreen's National Advisory Council members, psychiatrist Joe English told us. "Your e-mail is the first information I have on what may have happened here."

Thanks to all of those Clearwater area folks who were there in the beginning, went to battle and kicked butt! See Video
Maybe you can spot yourself or your friends in this photo:

Special thanks goes to those I call the TeenScreen Dream Team, Sandra Lucas in Salt Lake City, who offered public relations guidance and political strategy; Doyle Mills, Clearwater, Fl who commanded the Letters to the Editor Attack Force (LEAF) and wrote articles himself and Sue Weibert, Buffalo, New York, investigator and google-fu master. And a very special thank you to my good friends Michael and Teresa Rhoades, who fought with the fury you would expect from parents whose child was mentally screened without their permission.

Teresa and Chelsea Rhoades:

We have never really tooted our own horn, but today, for your enjoyment, we solemnly play Taps. (wink wink)
To the psychiatric adversaries in our path – get a head start on your counterparts - surrender now!
I am not kidding.

Billionaires Dump Stocks. Prepare For Total Disaster...

Dear Concerned Reader,

Fearing the very worst, the nation's super-rich are unloading their stocks at an alarming rate.

Even more troubling, the wealthiest 1% of Americans are the ones most anxious to sell. (The ones who typically know the most.)

Clearly, they're taking absolutely no chances with the looming Fiscal Cliff.

The bigger question is this…

Who's to Blame for the Fiscal Cliff Nightmare?

The poll results are likely to shock you.

Cast your vote now to see what America thinks.

Blame President Obama?

Or blame Congress?

Thanks for your urgent time on this matter.

Sandy Ford, Grandma Who Killed Grandkids In Murder Suicide, Wanted Custody Of Children

TOLEDO, Ohio —

Three children killed in what police believe was a murder-suicide carried out by their grandmother and uncle died of carbon monoxide poisoning, a coroner ruled Wednesday in a finding that confirms what investigators already suspected.

Autopsies show that the children and the two adults all died from the fumes pumped into a car where their bodies were found, said Cynthia Beisser, Lucas County deputy coroner.

Notes left behind indicate 54-year-old Sandy Ford and her son Andy, 32, planned the murder-suicide and filled their garage with the exhaust from a pickup truck, police said. All five were found dead Monday in the backseat of the car.

Investigators and family friends say what happened appears to stem from a family disagreement between the children's mother and her mom, Sandy Ford, over where the children should live.

For the past three years, the children ages 10, 7, and 5, had lived with their grandmother. Their mother asked her to care for them after another son at home had behavior problems and was becoming disruptive, according to children services workers.

But within the past week, the children moved back into their parents' home, angering the grandmother who believed the youngsters would be better off with her, according to children welfare workers.

Police were called to intervene twice last week, but they said there were no signs the children were in danger.

On Monday morning, Sandy Ford picked up the children from school not long after their mother dropped them off and took them back to her home, police said.

Authorities were called to the home by the children's frantic grandfather after he discovered the letters and was unable to force open the garage door.

Firefighters using a sledgehammer broke down the garage door to find the bodies of 5-year-old Madalyn Hayes, 7-year-old Logan and 10-year-old Paige slumped inside the car, along with their grandmother and uncle. Two hoses attached to the exhaust of a pickup truck pumped gas fumes through the car's rear window.

Toxicology tests on the children won't be available for six to eight weeks, Beisser said.

A funeral for the children is set for Monday in Toledo with visitation taking place this weekend.

My Three Cents;

Now that I've studied psychology for the last ten years, because of the ex-bleeping-scrushiating pain of losing my own flesh and blood (my children) to an abuser with political connections..

I have become a Personal Empowerment Coach, who must ask my readers these questions, in relation to this story.

(1) What if you can for just one moment.. let go of the anger with 'The System' for their role in these children's deaths (Via Custody Battles from Hell), including the school who allowed this nut-job to take the children out of school in the first place..

(2) What if this story isn't only about an insane woman (the grandmother), who would have rather kill her grandchildren than have them live with her son (the children's father), and her daughter in law (the children's mother), yes you read that right, their biological parents!

(3) What if the hint in paragraph 1, that the children's uncle took part in this murder suicide instead of helping the children...

(4) Along with the hint in paragraph 5, stating that this insane grandmother, raised at least one son who married a woman with whom he could not co-parent and deal with one of their own children who were acting out. Instead the other children were placed with their grandmother, who ended up killing them!

"For the past three years, the children ages 10, 7, and 5, had lived with their grandmother. Their mother asked her to care for them after another son at home had behavior problems and was becoming disruptive, according to children services workers.

Broken down into tiny bites... would show that mental health issues run in families, and perhaps mental health problems [insert labels such as Borderline, Bi-polar, Narcissistic, Anti-Social, Schizophrenia, Co-Dependant, + + here] are nothing more than a maladaptive way of dealing with a loss or trauma on a significant emotional level in child-hood- because the person or people who were your care-givers weren't healthy and or stable themselves.. yet these 'issues' can be worked through albeit with an exorbitant amount of work?

Who thinks, that if major problems in families were simply a maladaptive way of coping.. that the big pharma companies, and the mental health Field would then be out of 'business', and we might have a society of healthy functioning people living in it?

I DO!

Contact me if you agree and are willing or at least open to, facing your families demons..  which may be the reason your own live is so miserable.. sooner than later!

Attorney Grant Goodman Suspended Without a Hearing

PHOENIX -

Accusations
Longtime Arizona attorney Grant Goodman made serious allegations over the past year against attorneys and guardians in Maricopa County Probate Court.

“Assets are being raped and pillaged every day,” said Goodman.

Accusations like that may have landed him in trouble.

“The conduct that’s going on in probate is in effect, unconstitutional.”

The Arizona Supreme Court suspended Goodman's license to practice law with what is called an Interim Suspension. Goodman was temporarily suspended last month awaiting this final order. * See Final Order of Interim Suspension

According to a press release issued by the State Bar of Arizona, the disciplinary judge indicated that Goodman’s conduct "will result in substantial harm, loss or damage to the public, the legal profession or the administration of justice."

The suspension comes after Goodman filed lawsuits on behalf of incapacitated adults; adults Maricopa County Probate Court ruled couldn't handle their money or medical care.

Some of the people mentioned in those lawsuits surrounding probate court are mentioned in the motion filed by the state bar against Goodman. The motion also notes a complaint by one of Goodman’s clients filed December 3, 2010. The client hired Goodman to represent him in a mortgage fraud case that included malpractice charges against another attorney.

ABC15 Investigation
The ABC15 Investigators reported on those lawsuits in a series of stories uncovering flaws in the Maricopa County Probate System.

Families accused the court of allowing their loved ones to be isolated and heavily medicated while their assets were liquidated.

In an interview with ABC15 more than a year ago, Goodman described the county's probate process as criminal.

“These people are more organized than the mob. Plus, they have a court rubberstamp the proceeding.”

Many of the people mentioned in the motion that led to the Goodman's suspension, are people mentioned in our investigations. They are the same people Goodman is suing.

RETALIATION
Goodman claims that it is no coincidence.

“You asked the question earlier about retaliation. It goes well above and beyond that. It is just simply about money,” said Goodman.

The bar claims he is a danger to the public. Goodman replied, “I am a danger to the judges and lawyers that I've sued.”

Goodman called the probate process "racketeering" claiming lawyers and guardians were controlling these people and taking all their money.

“There is no one willing to take up their cause," said Goodman.

The bar's suspension which came without a hearing, accuses Goodman of consistent misconduct.

The allegations also turn the tables on Goodman by claiming he was taking advantage of the very incapacitated adults he was hired to represent.

“I have not taken a nickel, not a nickel from any of these people that I represent. And they still continue harp about that,” said Goodman, “I am after the money? Really? I am after, in fact, that they have taken all the money. That's what they object to.”

The next step is for the Arizona Supreme Court to make the temporary suspension permanent. That could stay in effect for five years. Goodman could eventually get disbarred.

E-mail Threats Triggered Probe of Petraeus, Officials Say

Breaking News and Commentary from Citizens for Legitimate Government

10 Nov 2012

All links are here:

Getting All Your News From the 'Citizens for Legitimate Government' Newsletter By Miles Klee 02 Oct 2012 I'm not entirely sure how I ended up subscribing to the CLG newsletter, a roundup of hard-hitting political stories that span the globe, but I have not regretted it for one solitary moment. That's because between relatively sober summaries of under-reported suicide bombings in Afghanistan, they're running headlines about how U.S. army scientists are spraying St. Louis with radioactive particles and Gaddafi was killed on Nicolas Sarkozy's orders.

E-mail threats triggered probe of Petraeus, officials say 10 Nov 2012 The collapse of the dazzling career of CIA Director David H. Petraeus was triggered when a woman with whom he was having an affair sent threatening e-mails to another woman close to him, according to three senior law enforcement officials with knowledge of the episode. The recipient of the e-mails was so frightened that she went to the FBI for protection and help tracking down the sender, according to the officials. The FBI investigation traced the threats to Paula Broadwell, a former military officer and a Petraeus biographer, and uncovered explicit e-mails between Broadwell and Petraeus, the officials said.

Petraeus Quits Post; Evidence of Affair Was Found by F.B.I. 10 Nov 2012 David H. Petraeus, the director of the Central Intelligence Agency and one of America's most decorated four-star generals, resigned on Friday after an F.B.I. investigation uncovered evidence that he was carrying on an extramarital affair. Mr. Petraeus issued a statement acknowledging the affair after President Obama accepted his resignation and it was announced by the C.I.A. He had offered to resign on Thursday when he informed Mr. Obama about the affair, White House officials said. Government officials said that the F.B.I. had investigated whether a computer used by Mr. Petraeus had been compromised. In the course of that inquiry, federal investigators discovered the relationship, officials said. [Instead of searching for evidence of Petraeus's affairs, why not look into his war crimes?]

David Petraeus resigns as CIA director 09 Nov 2012 CIA Director David H. Petraeus has resigned, bringing a surprisingly abrupt end to his brief tenure at the agency as well as his decorated career in national security. Petraeus sent a letter to President Obama on Friday indicating that he was stepping down, citing an extramarital affair... Michael J. Morell, who served as Petraeus's deputy at the CIA, is serving as interim director, officials said.

Court: Alleged torture victims can't sue Donald Rumsfeld 08 Nov 2012 A federal appeals court in Chicago has ruled that two American contractors allegedly tortured by U.S. forces in Iraq can't sue former Defense Secretary [war criminal] Donald Rumsfeld. The 8-3 decision by the 7th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals reverses a ruling by a three-judge panel of the same court. Donald Vance and Nathan Ertel claim in their lawsuit that U.S. forces detained them in 2006 after they alleged illegal activities by their Iraqi-owned employer.

Four Palestinians killed, 20 injured in Israeli attack on Gaza 10 Nov 2012 At least four Palestinians have been killed and 30 others have been injured by Israeli fire after clashes erupted along the Gaza border. Israeli artillery targeted the Palestinians in the besieged territory on Saturday. Most of the injured are said to be in critical condition. Witnesses say Palestinian resistance groups also fired a rocket at an Israeli jeep that exploded on the edge of the border, critically injuring four Israeli soldiers. Another five Palestinians were also wounded near Khan Yunis in southern GAZA.

Report: Bushehr nuclear plant enters final testing phase 11 Nov 2012 Iran's Bushehr nuclear power plant has reportedly entered its final testing phase ahead of its planned 2013 launch date, the Tehran Times reported Saturday. Fereydoun Abbasi, director of Iran's Atomic Energy Organization, announced that Tehran's experts are "making the necessary preparations for the handover of the power plant by the Russian contractor to Iranian experts."

Computer problem prompts Berwick nuclear reactor shutdown 10 Nov 2012 One of two reactors at a Northeast Pennsylvania nuclear plant was shut down Friday morning after a problem with the computer system that controls its level of water, power company officials said. The Unit 2 reactor at PPL's Susquehanna nuclear power plant was manually shut down by operators after operators began receiving "invalid data" on a screen, company spokesman Joe Scopelliti said. The source of the computer system problem is under investigation.

Cracks found in South Korean nuclear reactor 09 Nov 2012 South Korean nuclear regulators have found microscopic cracks in tunnels that guide control rods at a nuclear plant under maintenance, government officials said, raising new concerns over the country's nuclear power sector. The discovery, revealed on Friday, of the cracks at the reactor comes just days after two reactors at the same plant in Yeonggwang county, in the southwest of the country, were shut down to replace parts that had been provided with forged certificates. South Korea is investigating how thousands of parts for its nuclear reactors were supplied using forged safety documents, with regulators set to inspect all 23 of the country's facilities.

Mascot bird teaching Fukushima children how to avoid radiation 10 Nov 2012 Nearly two years after Japan was struck by the Fukushima nuclear disaster, officials have begun printing leaflets featuring a yellow cartoon bird that instructs children on radiation safety - though it may be too late for thousands. Fukushima's disaster task force has started issuing leaflets with a bird character called Kibitan telling children to stay away from pools and ditches where radioactive cesium from the damaged nuclear power plant might have accumulated. The smiling, round Kibitan explains why radiation is dangerous, urging children to make a habit of washing their hands and gargling their mouths after coming in from the outdoors.

Hints of a more virulent, mutating West Nile virus emerge 08 Nov 2012 The West Nile virus epidemic of 2012, the worst in a decade, may be notorious for yet another reason: The virus, in some cases, is attacking the brain more aggressively than in the past, raising the specter that it may have mutated into a nastier form, say two neurologists who have extensive experience dealing with the illness. One doctor, Art Leis in Jackson, Miss., has seen the virus damaging the speech, language and thinking centers of the brain -- something he has never observed before. The other, Elizabeth Angus in Detroit, has noticed brain damage in young, previously healthy patients, not just in older, sicker ones -- another change from past years.

Tempers fray as many in Northeast still without power 10 Nov 2012 Frustration with continuing power outages, travel chaos, and long lines for gasoline grew on Saturday as residents of New York's Long Island, hit hard by Superstorm Sandy, protested outside the headquarters of the local utility company. Residents took to the streets for a second day, targeting the Long Island Power Authority in Hicksville. There were still over a quarter of a million customers without power nearly two weeks after the storm. As of Friday more than 170,000 of those were on Long Island. Thousands were in temporary shelters, and in New Jersey a tent city on the edge of Monmouth Park racetrack was home to hundreds.

Superstorm Sandy: Long Lines, No Power Two Weeks Later 10 Nov 2012 After spending nearly two weeks in the dark, Long Island residents are directing their anger toward their local power company, which many say is out of touch, sending bills instead of updates. Nearly two weeks after Superstorm Sandy pummeled the northeast, more than 200,000 in the region are still without power. The Long Island Power Authority did not show up for a last minute overnight press conference today, leaving the company that manages the grid to take the backlash.

The truth about the Red Cross --The right-wing, scandal-ridden 'charity' that isn't really a charity --'The whole history of the organization is one gigantic scandal--stretching from its racist policies toward African Americans to its corporate mentality toward human beings.' By Joe Allen 21 Oct 2005 Though it is technically a nonprofit, the Red Cross is run more like profit-hungry corporation than what most people think a "charity" would act like. The most deadly example of this was the Red Cross's criminally negligent response to the early stages of the AIDS epidemic in the 1980s. In 1982 and especially 1983... major blood banks, led by the Red Cross, opposed national testing of blood for HIV. The Red Cross's opposition was based on the financial cost. As investigative journalist Judith Reitman wrote in her book Bad Blood: "It appeared it would be cheaper to pay off infected blood recipients, should they pursue legal action, than to up the Red Cross blood supply." ...Enron-style bookkeeping, deceptive advertising and outright theft of funds have also been a big part of the Red Cross's recent history.

Supreme Court to review key section of Voting Rights Act 09 Nov 2012 The Supreme Court on Friday said it would decide the constitutionality of a signature portion of the Voting Rights Act. The justices three years ago expressed skepticism about the continued need for Section 5 of the historic act, which requires states and localities with a history of discrimination, most of them in the South, to get federal approval of any changes in their voting laws. The court will be reviewing a decision last spring by a panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit to uphold Section 5.

Charles Darwin earns 4,000 write-in votes against creationist Ga. congressman 08 Nov 2012 Charles Darwin earned almost 4,000 write-in votes against a Georgia congressman who denounced evolution and other scientific theories as "lies straight from the pit of hell." The symbolic votes in Athens-Clarke County were a small percentage of more than 209,000 votes won by Republican Rep. Paul Broun in his unopposed re-election Tuesday. Broun gave a speech to a church group on Sept. 27 lambasting evolution, embryology and the Big Bang theory. Critics urged voters to write in the 19th-century British naturalist who is considered the father of evolution.

Obama Prevails in Florida After 4-Day Delay in Vote Count 10 Nov 2012 President Barack Obama defeated Republican Mitt Romney in Florida four days after winning a second term, according to the Associated Press, a delayed result that renewed questions about the state's election process. The victory in Florida boosted Obama's electoral vote count to 332, compared with Romney's 206. A total of 270 was needed to win the White House. With 100 percent of Florida precincts reporting, Obama had 50.0 percent of the vote to Romney's 49.1 percent, according to the Associated Press.

Coal company announces layoffs in response to Obama win 09 Nov 2012 A coal company headed by a prominent Mitt Romney donor has laid off more than 160 workers in response to President Obama's election victory. Murray Energy said Friday that it had been "forced" to make the layoffs in response to the bleak prospects for the coal industry during Obama's second term. In a prayer circulated by the company, CEO [corpora-terrorist] Robert Murray said Americans had voted "in favor of redistribution, national weakness and reduced standard of living and lower and lower levels of personal freedom."

Prophets of Doom

Today’s world has troubles unique to its time in history, from the global financial crisis to technological meltdowns to full scale, computerized global war.

Observing the convergence of such events, contemporary prophets have begun to emerge from obscurity to suggest that these conditions might be signs of the demise of the modern world.

These men are historians as well, using all manner of information and patterns from the past to provide context for where we are going.

Their predictions interpret the current state of affairs in our world as evidence that the America we know may come to an end.

The men proposing these ideas are not crackpots living on the streets of New York; they are intelligent, learned men who come armed with the evidence to back up their claims.

Bradley Manning Offers to Plead Guilty to Partial Charges, Including Leaking to WikiLeaks 07 Nov 2012 Accused WikiLeaks leaker Bradley Manning offered on Wednesday to plead guilty to parts of the charges he is facing, in exchange for the government pursuing lesser charges. Manning did not plead guilty but indicated in a plea notice submitted by his attorney, David Coombs, that he is willing to accept responsibility for some of the lesser included charges, but not the charges as they stand in whole. The move is known as "pleading by exceptions and substitutions" and is a strategy for negotiating the charges against him, which his attorney has tried repeatedly to do, unsuccessfully, via other means during pre-trial hearings.

U.S. WikiLeaks Criminal Probe 'Ongoing,' Judge Reveals 07 Nov 2012 A 2-year-old federal grand jury probe into the secret-spilling website WikiLeaks is still "ongoing," a federal judge in Virginia revealed Wednesday in a brief ruling. It's the first official confirmation since WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange was granted asylum by the Ecuadorean government in August that the grand jury investigation is continuing. U.S. District Judge Liam O'Grady of Alexandria, Virginia, noted the investigation in a legal flap surrounding three WikiLeaks associates who lost their bid to protect their Twitter records from U.S. investigators. The three had asked the court to unseal documents in their case.

Tepco terrorists too big to fail: Tepco seeks more govt bailouts as Fukushima costs soar --Tepco indicates costs could rise to $120 bln 07 Nov 2012 Fukushima nuclear plant operator Tokyo Electric Power Co said on Wednesday it would have to seek more government funds to tackle the aftermath of the Fukushima disaster, as cleanup costs soar four months after the utility was nationalised. A senior minister said the government saw no alternative to providing continued support for the utility, known as Tepco. Tepco officials suggested the costs of compensation and decontamination could double to 10 trillion yen ($124.55 billion), making greater government support vital.

Election Night: Obama Drone Bombs Several in Yemen 07 Nov 2012 On Wednesday morning, as many Americans sifted through the voter data and exit poll numbers of President Barack Obama's reelection the night before, the Twitter feeds of close watchers of Yemen lit up with reports of another sort of presidential event: an apparent U.S. drone strike had killed several individuals in that country. There was no way of being certain if the strike was indeed American, or for that matter if it was a drone strike at all, although it had all the markings of one. "All signs (after dark, suspicions of locals, target) point to Sanhan strike being a US drone," Yemen-based freelance journalist Adam Baron wrote on Twitter. Several other analysts concurred. A White House spokesman did not respond to a request for comment. If it were a American strike, of course, it would have to have been authorized by Obama.

Police officials say the first bombing took place in a residential area of the predominantly Shiite town of Mohmoudiya early Thursday, killing two people and wounding four. Some students chanted political slogans while others used derogatory racial statements and profanity, the statement said.

Congressman Dennis Kucinich's Home Was Broken into and Ransacked 07 Nov 2012 Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D-OH), who represents the 10th Congressional District, arrived home on Monday to find that his home had been broken into and ransacked. According to the Cleveland Division of Police, someone entered the home by using a rear window in the kitchen area. The incident is said to have occurred around 10pm on Sunday, and it was reported by someone other than Kucinich, although it is not clear what the person's relationship is to the lawmaker.

Nancy Pelosi's home in Napa County burglarized 06 Nov 2012 House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi got some bad news Monday, but it wasn't from the polls on election eve. No one was home at the time of the break-in.

Record number of women elected to U.S. Congress  07 Nov 2012 A record number of women will serve in the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives after sweeping victories in Tuesday's election that challenged the traditional male makeup of the U.S. legislative branch. Twenty women will serve in the 100-member Senate and at least 81 of the 435 members of the House of Representatives will be women. A few races still await final results from Tuesday's voting.

Numbers nerd Nate Silver's forecasts prove all right on election night 07 Nov 2012 One big winner of US election night was the statistical guru and unashamed numbers nerd Nate Silver, who correctly predicted not only Barack Obama's victory but the outcome of the presidential contest in all 50 states. Silver, the political forecaster at the New York Times, infuriated Republicans in the closing days of the race by arguing on his blog FiveThirtyEight.com that Obama's chances of winning were steadily increasing. His final forecast gave Obama a 90.9% chance of victory. Silver also forecast 332 electoral college votes for Obama against 206 for Romney - the actual result, assuming Obama's Florida victory is confirmed.

Obama wins reelection 07 Nov 2012 With polls closed throughout the continental United States, President Barack Obama won reelection by a comfortable margin in the Electoral College, while pulling ahead in the popular vote after midnight, as returns began coming in from the West Coast...Obama will repay those who turned out to vote for him by carrying out measures that will devastate their jobs, living standards and social conditions. The "grand bargain" that he has pledged to negotiate with the Republicans will come at the expense of the working class, through trillions in cuts to Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid and other social programs.

Nor'easter to bring high winds and cold rain to New York and New Jersey 07 Nov 2012 Storm-weary residents in New York and New Jersey were braced Wednesday for further misery, as a nor'easter bore down on the region threatening high winds, rain and sleet. In advance of the fresh wave of bad weather, authorities in New York City were taking precautions including the closing of all parks and beaches, while urging the partial evacuation of coastal areas.
